Barrett Atkins joins SWA as Associate - Industrial Services
Atlanta, GA (June 15, 2022) - The Scotland Wright Associates (SWA) Industrial Services team continues its growth as Barrett Atkins joins to serve alongside Scott O’Halloran and Will Grogan. Atkins has worked extensively with industrial and warehousing clients over the last several years and has developed a keen ability for building strategies that address the whole picture of logistical impacts on industrial use companies.

Under the leadership of Scott O’Halloran and Will Grogan, the firm’s industrial services include buyer representation, agency leasing, tenant representation, development consulting, property sales, site selection and more at the local and national levels.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Atkins graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He joins the SWA team from Ware2Go, a UPS company. He and his wife, Molly, live in Atlanta where they are members of Christ Covenant Church. He serves as a deacon at his church and also serves as President for Young Variety - the Children’s Charity of Georgia.
The following is a list of five questions that give insight to the Atlanta and SWA community about who Barrett is and why he has joined the SWA team.
FIVE QUESTIONS WITH BARRETT ATKINS
1.) What are some of the factors that compelled you to pursue commercial real estate as a career?
Real estate is thrilling, tangible, and impactful. There are few career opportunities where you can see a physical transformation within a space that is directly tailored to the needs of users. Space is one of the most important decisions for any company as the design and location impact the functions of the business and lives of those who work there. Helping business owners and companies in the journey of finding the right space for their use is exciting for me.
2.) What are some of the reasons that led you to join the Scotland Wright Associates team?
The People. I am inspired by the energy and service focused mindset from the SWA team. The cross-collaborative culture allows for the industries served to receive best-in-class service. The people at SWA are inspiring by the way they live and serve others.
3.) From your work history, what are some of the skills and experiences that you are looking forward to deploying in our efforts to offer best-in-class service to our clients?
My previous experience in the logistics industry allows me to focus on the entire picture of an industrial transaction. I formally worked at Ware2Go, a UPS Company, to design bespoke warehouse networks and cost benefit analyses to determine the most optimal configuration and number of locations. There are a myriad of evaluation factors that need to be included in a business case. I am excited to bring my industry knowledge to the SWA team so we can provide even more excellent services to our clients.
4.) How far do you think the World Champion Atlanta Braves will go this year and why?
The Braves will chase down the Mets and win the NL East. I feel like the storyline is heading for a Braves vs. Dodgers (Freddie) in the NLCS... we’ll see!
5.) What are you most looking forward to this year?
Personally, my wife, Molly, and I are expecting our first child in September. I am excited to become a #GirlDad. Professionally, I am excited to contribute to the growth of SWA while building intentional and meaningful relationships.
